the drop box
here’s a promo about a new documentary coming out. it tells the story of a korean pastor who created “the drop box” - it’s a place (a literal box) where mothers can leave their unwanted babies, rather than leaving them on the streets to die or having abortions. i’m really excited to see this piece and think it’s amazing that this kind of ministry is happening. hopefully, it will spark a movement in other countries where child abandonment is a problem.
Here’s an article about it.

it will hurt, but I promise I won’t leave you.

A few weekends ago, some friends and I took a trip to the desert. While we were there, we were able to completely relax… we literally sat around in the sun for days either on a chair or raft. It was glorious.
Almost every night, we found ourselves out in the desert. This night in particular will always stick out in my mind when I recall this trip. It was an evening of shooting guns, smoking pipes, and eating s’mores. The best part of all of this were the people… the good friends…. the family that were all present. I’m so very thankful for each of them. ALSO, may I add that the sunsets in the desert are surreal!
There’s nothing like being with the people you love out in a desolate place.
